Teff, also known as Williams lovegrass, is native to Ethiopia and Eritrea. It comes in many colours and we can offer teff grains and flour in the white and brown version. The size of teff seed is not really big, it is known to be the size of a poppy seed. Teff contains a high iron, protein, and calcium content and has a mild and nutty flavour. Fun fact: Did you know that with teff flour injera's are made? Injera's are flat, pancake-like bread with special herbs found in the region. With Teff flour you can also bake cookies, pie crust and much more. When you are on a gluten-free diet, Teff is a recommended substitute grain.
