Physical property:Titanium powder is dark gray amorphous powder, boiling point≤3000°C, melting point 1668°C±2°C, it isinsoluble in water and organic solventin normaltemperature.Also known asnonmagnetic metal, which meansitcantbe magnetized in intense magnetic field. itis non-poisonousand tasteless, andalso getsgood compatibility with human tissues and blood.
Chemical property: It isnot reactionwith water, nitric acid, dilutes sulphuric acid and dilutedhydrochloric acidat common temperature and pressure.(does not react with general acid and alkali atcommontemperature, and is flammable at high temperatures).However, itcouldbe corroded by hydrofluoric acid and fused alkali.It dissolvesin hot hydrochloric andvitriol as well as mixed solution ofhydrofluoric acidandhydrofluoric acid (sulphuricacid)orhydrofluoric acid.The physical form of N, H, O, and C could be increased when exposed in air. It will cause blast when mixed with strong oxidant.
Fire extinguishing method:high-purity ultra-fine titanium powder is flammable at high temperatures. Diatomaceous earth and fine sand should be prepared for fire extinguishing. In case of fire, inert materials (such as diatomaceous earth, fine sand) should be used to suffocate and extinguish the fire.
Packaging: Packed in steel drum which has inside plastic bag filled with argon and weighted 50kgs, or packed in vacuum plastic bag weighted 2-2.5kgs.The packages we used had been approved by import and export inspection and quarantine bureau.
Transportation and storage: It should be transported and stored in cool and dry place. Fire and demaged packing should be avoided.
