Indian IR64 parboiled rice is a non-basmati, medium-grain rice from India, processed by parboiling (soaking, steaming, and drying in the husk before milling). The process gives the grain a light golden to mottled yellow colour, firmer texture when cooked, and better resistance to breakage and spoilage.
IR64 parboiled is widely used for everyday consumption, institutional catering, and bulk supply in Africa (especially West Africa), Asia, and the Middle East. Its firm, separate grains and good volume expansion make it well suited for one-pot dishes such as Jollof rice (Nigeria, Ghana) and Thieboudienne (Senegal), as well as for retail bags and food service.
We supply Sortex-cleaned, export-grade Indian IR64 parboiled rice with consistent grading, moisture and quality controls, and packaging suitable for sea freight and humid climates.
