For retailers, this technology offers a dazzling way to engage customers at point of sale, as a retailer can showcase their product behind a transparent video screen.
What this means for the customer is they will see the physical product inside the showcase at all times (because of the transparency of the screen) and at the same time they will see a video promoting the product on the transparent screen.
As of June 2012, transparent LCD screens are available in 22 inch or 46 inch (touchscreen or non touch models).
In October/November 2012, 15" and 32" versions will also be available. The display cabinets are made of solid aluminium or steel and include LED lights, media player (for non touchscreen versions only) and speakers built in. Custom designs are also available upon request
